John Fanfas

John's journey begins in Lisbon, editing commercials for major Portuguese brands in various sectors: beverages, communications, banks. His passion for visual storytelling and photography, mixed with his post-production background, gave him the impetus to develop a special and unique ability to create works of visual impact. Johns' personal approach brings each project to a distinct influence and fits the genre's diversity. He worked on concepts and delivered strong film visuals to clients. He is comfortable working with lifestyle, narrative, visual storytelling, action sports, performance, portraits or sketches. So far, he has worked for many of the world's leading agencies and brands: Martini, Vodafone, Red Cross, Donuts, 33 Export and many others, embodying his professionalism and talent. John shot in several countries throughout Europe and Africa. In 2021 Angola's Pub Festi won five silver and two bronze awards for best TV commercial and two gold, two silver and one bronze awards for best TV direction. In 2017, he won the Silver Award for Best Film at the Prémios Lusófonos for Cuca Beer, while other awards at Clube dos Criativos and El Ojo de Ibero-america. His short film Renaissance won Best Film at Fantasporto in 2015. John is a happy, easygoing, creative, easy going and cool kid!
